foreign remote employment while in Malaysia

I am a remote employee for a us company. If I relocate to Malaysia and continue to be a remote employee at the same company, can I do so on a social or MM2H or other social-ish visa? I would be paid by a US company into my US bank account, work from home (where my job function would primarily be to help (from home office) and visit with customer's engineers and auto industry in other countries in the region)

Offshore income is fine under Mm2h. It's what is expected.

There are no other social visa options only company incorporation routes some of which can lead to an employment pass rather than being perceived just as an investor. Labuan offhore incorporation is probably most suitable and paid up capital required is Rm250, 000

It's not really feasible to try and operate on tourist visas any longer unless one spends extended periods outside Malaysia between entries
