Medical insurance recommendation

I have been living in Malaysia for many years and am now on a Resident visa. I need to get medical insurance for myself. Does anyone have recommendations for a company/agent to use (or avoid)?

I used an agent for many years in KL, for both medical insurance as well as with my car insurance. I've used Tokio Marine ages ago but my agent would offer alternatives as each year she'd find the best. The last insurance company I used was Pacific Insurance. I had a slipped disc operation that cost Rm20,000 at Pantai Hospital and Pacific paid the total bill as I was checking out so I didn't need to pay anything.

My recommendation is to find a good honest agent. Mine used to come to my place to show me what was on offer and give her recommendation. I also found that her prices were not different to what I would get when I made direct enquiries with the insurance companies.
