Can we change from Special pass to dependent pass

Hi all,

Could any one help/suggest me on聽 can we change the visa from special pass to dependent . My scenario is EP going to be expiry on Nov 30th and my employer is not ready to provide the NOC/Release letter , so we are looking for the other options other than leaving the country and start Dependent pass . Can we apply for special pass and later converted to DP. Is there anyone is in the same situation / can any one suggest me the solution. Thanks

Well, I havent been in that situation but I dont see any issue there. You can very well be on DP. in fact sounds a better idea. Go on DP and then after some time get a new EP (however, the govt is making it more and more difficult now for expats). Just my personal opinion.

Hi Gaurav, Thank you for the response . Applying for Dependent pass is not straight one , since Release letter /NOC is required for changing from EP to DP . So,聽 can we apply for special pass first ?聽 then from special pass to dependent pass ?

But your EP is expiring rt? do you still need NOC if its expired?
