Process to applying for tourist VISA for country without MNG embassy

Hi all.

My name is Hannes.

We are Australians and are moving to Mongolia early February 2023 on a working visa.

We will be living in Mongolia for 2 years.

My extended family is South Africans and we would like for them to come and visit us once we have settled in. We have been doing research on getting a tourist VISA for them but the info is very convoluted and not straight forward.聽 South Africa does not have聽 Mongolian Embassy and is not part of the e-visa list.

Can anyone provide some guidance on how to apply for a tourist VISA which is less than 60 days?

I think it should be a K2 VISA, but do they have to send their passports to an Embassy or can they get the VISA apon arrival?

Check out for information. Visa is K2.

Copy of passport plus all other paperwork as defined in the site is needed. No need to send passports anywhere.

Perhaps ask your employer for assistance.
