PEP & EP in parallel

Would it be a problem if I apply for a PEP & a new company applies for a EP for me, while the PEP is processing or once I have got the PEP?

Once you have the PEP, you do nolonger need an EP - so why would you apply???

@beppi I don't have a PEP, and there is no guarantee to get it.

My salary is borderline(in foreign currency) & I don't know how they would convert currencies.

Hence the question.

I answered for the second option "or once I have got the PEP".

For the first one, I don't know the answer, but I suspect it is "No". Ask MoM!

If you are earning in different currency in Singapore then your tax computation must be used a cut off exchange rate to convert by IRAS. Similarly, MoM too will use a rate to compare the annual income or minimum 6 months income equal to S$144k to eligible for PEP.

Note: From 1 September 2023, the fixed monthly salary criteria for both existing EP holders and overseas foreign professionals will be raised to $22,500.
