Hi ayaan6! It is sad to hear this. I myself also got my S Pass rejected twice recently (23 Dec), and worse I did not get the exact reason why MOM rejected my pass. My offered salary is 3600. I tried to reach out to the company to appeal again as I am still serving MOE Tuition Grant Bond. However, they played a dirty card on me that S Pass quota has recently been filled in. Can you believe one of the Big 4 suddenly has their quota full after just a few weeks? Well, I don't want to point my fingers here. Let begone be begone.
Have you done self assessment before on MOM website? If you never do it, I suggest you can check it by yourself. It is quick and easy.
If you are Malaysia, you can get E Pass with a minimum salary of 3,000. All the best to you. If your employer is willing to help you, you guys can try for another application. For visa extension, may I know what pass are you holding and who issued the pass to you? MOM or ICA?
thanks for reply.
i checked in SAT tool I'm eligible for EPASS above 5700 . but now my salary is 2800 .
Will i get approved if i apply Epass with salary 5700 ?. with higher position and my company have less 10 employee so i dont need to post job in job banks as per MOM rule .
now I'm on Spass issued by MOM. but for extension my company said Mom website not allowing to apply extension because of no pending application. so how i get extension ?

I don't want to discourage you ,but if the salary difference is so big, there is a high chance that you are not legible for EP. Anyway, it is worth giving it a try.
For S Pass extension, only your employer can submit to MOM. Once your S Pass is expired or cancelled, MOM will issue you a short term visit pass (30 days visa) for you to stay in Singapore. This short term visit pass can be extended under a few conditions such as waiting for work pass renewable, no flight back home ...etc,. For more details, you can check with your employer or MOM website.
Personally, I suggest you contacting your boss and make sure he writes you a strong recommendation letter before submitting to MOM again for E Pass application. Otherwise, plan B is to look for another opportunity. Best of luck to you.
thank you again for ur advice 馃檹馃槪
ayaan6 wrote:what kind strong recommendation letter ? like what ? can you please explain me about that.
thank you again for ur advice 馃檹馃槪
The letter must provide a strong reason why the company needs to hire you like @beppi suggested. It must be convincing enough for MOM to consider your application again.
all the best for u too . hope u too get any good news for u.

Hi ayann6, I am not in a position to advise you on this.
For your info, EP is generally processed faster than SP (average 1-2 weeks). I know a number of people who can get it in 1 day or less than a week. Due to Covid-19 situation, I heard from my friend (who is close to HR) that MOM is only considering applicants who are residing in Singapore at this moment.
Since you have about 1 month to stay in Singapore, I personally feel your company should apply for you while you are still here. Otherwise, you can just go back first, spend some time with your family and slowly find other opportunities.

No worries! I have been there, so I roughly understand how you feel. Have faith and keep moving forward.聽

Thank you for that! I am confident with the application date is correct as mentioned by the new employer, but says 鈥 E0000236 : No record found.鈥
Application: 29/12/2020
Rejected: 07/01/2021
Appeal: 08/01/2021
It鈥檚 been 3 weeks now that im waiting for the response of my appeal
I am not really sure if it is really pending because yesterday MOM message that need more time to review the appeal..within 3 weeks
So it is another 3 weeks to wait馃様馃様馃様

MOM didn鈥檛 say why? Whats your industry
Anyway i am a teacher in an childcare
MPAL11 wrote:Do the MOM will tell the reason why they dont approve?
MOM will mention the reason of rejection if the reason due to quota
Then your employer will be aware why it was rejected
But if its 2nd appeal does it mean your company have a sufficient quota already?
Otherwise It will be rejected again
Before Ur pass going to expiry聽 ur try to apply for the special pass 1 month,
Because my company sent a concessionary letter to MOm
Applied: Jan 21/2021
Rejected: Jan 30/2021
Appeal: Feb 5/2021
Reason for reject is 鈥淭his Candidate does not meet the qualifying criteria (which includes salary, qualifications and experience) for a S pass. In line with rising local wages, the criteria for S pass have been tightened to ensure that S pass holders are complementary to the local workforce. if you still choose to employ this candidate, you can submitt an appeal.
I took the SAT tool and i inputed my years of experience and the offered salary . but the result is i am not eligable for s pass. I tried to increase my salary by 2800SGD and the result is im eligable for s pass .
do you think my s pass got rejected due to the offered salary of my employer?
Applying New or Renewal of Spass around $2500 is no longer eligible.
Only once its successfully approved, your application status in MOM Website will shows "Approved"
Otherwise it will still show "Rejected.
Only company HR can view the appeal using Corpass
My Hr said that she is currently following up with Mom, This time she did not disclose with me the reason why my pass got rejected again . is it possible to have a 3x appeal?
Eligibility tool is an indicator but actual decision depends on many factors like salary vs work experience, education, employer鈥檚 profile etc. Also, given the COVID situation and uncertainty of jobs, MOM would definitely want FnB sector to hire locals over a foreigner.
You may want to check with your employer if they have addressed rejection reason given by MOM.
.. anyways thank you guys for giving me advices . i heard that the required salary for spass is 2900SGD already.Make your relocation easier with the Singapore expat guide
