Dependant pass to employment pass

Dear all ,

My wife holding dependent pass just she got new job offer (employment pass approved) , now they asking us to cancel the dependent pass to issue the employment pass.

If suppose after 1 year employment pass got canceled or whatever, I need to apply DP for her again or automatically it will be convert to DP once they canceled the EP.

Again you have to apply for DP through your employer

Yes, u need to reapply through your employer if your wife鈥檚 EP is canceled.

@Sadhan30 Am in same situation as you and came across your post.

My wife's who was on DP till date, her EP is approved.
As next step are we required to cancel her DP first? Checking with you since you may have gone through this process recently.

Will she have to submit her DP IC and get a new EP IC?
Given it will also involve my current employer if cancelling in required, wanted to get some guidance from you.

Your current employer needs to cancel her DP, your wife鈥檚 new employer will have to get her new EP issued on the basis of the IPA. The physical card is to be either submitted back to your erstwhile employer, MoM or destroyed (your HR will guide you). It ain鈥檛 complicated a process, pretty straight forward.
