Relocating to Bangkok: How Long Did It Take?

Hi Everyone,

I am retiring from federal government service in March of this year and plan to move to Bangkok.聽 My retirement salary will exceed the minimum required, so there will be no problems there.聽 I'm single and plan to use the O/A retirement visa.聽聽Like many pre-expats, I've been watching a ton of videos on YouTube......lol.聽

I'd like to know how many of you made one or more trips to Bangkok before actually moving there.聽 Also, how long did it take from thinking about relocating to Thailand before you actually got on the plane?聽 I've heard it can take up to a year to get all your affairs in order stateside.聽
