hostel in Bangkok

Hi

I am arriving in Bangkok聽 from the U.S.on June 12 at 7:00 a.m聽 I am looking for a single room shared bathroom. I want to be in the party sector so close to these areas and public transportation.

soi cowboy
asoka bt platform
thanglor
nana patpong
ratchada road

I have looked at hostels quoting about 22.00 per night.聽 If appropriate,could someone give me a recommendation?聽 Also, how I can get from the airport and how much would it cost?

Have you looked at Hostel called NaNa Chart located on Sukhumvit Soi 25. Just 20 meters off Sukhumvit and a very short 10 minute walk to Asoke BTS station or Soi Cowboy.

For transport from airport to your destination you have a couple options. Arrival time might make your decision.聽 I for one would take a taxi for 300 baht or less depending on destination.

Cheap hotel rooms can be found for 300-600 baht a day but if hostels are your cup of tea then check below web site.

Take a bus from Bangkok to Pattaya.聽 Eastern Bus Terminal is located next to Ekkamai BTS station (skytrain).聽 Cost less than 200 baht and travel time is around 2.5 hours.

Cheap travel around Pattaya is using songthaew(baht bus). Its a pickup with two bench seats in the back and cost 10 baht.

Instead of staying in a hostel, why not stay in a guesthouse, the price is about the same and you get your own room and en suite bathroom. Usually air con and fridges too. They are everywhere in Pattaya. Going rate is between 500-800 baht a night.

Thanks all for the info.聽 The place stray dog recommended was full.聽 I found a single room w bathroom and breakfast for 600 baht.聽 Thanks for all the links and info If u have a specific guest room in Palaya that would be greatly appreciated.聽
