I am restricted to bring 7 days worth in for a 40 day trip so will need to get a prescription quickly. I would be grateful. Also it would be very helpful if you were also able to provide rough price for this - usually come in boxes of 30 x 10mg but obviously I鈥檒l take any info you are able to provide. I'm sorry I can't answer your question on your medication being readily available at pharmacies. I would suggest reaching out to one or more of the pharmacies/hospitals .

That said, I invite you to read a thread dealing with restrictions on bringing prescription medication(s) into Vietnam, here.

Follow these instructions as quickly as possible and you can find out if the medication will possibly be available to you:

1. DIGITALLY compile your relevant medical records including history, physical and recent lab results & testing records.

2. Contact the and fully explain your situation, including your diagnosis, prescription and prescribing physician information, sending them any documentation they request.

You'll get one of two replies (I'm sure):

A. They will tell you it's not possible to fill a prescription for that controlled聽 BENZODIAZEPINE substance,

OR

B. They will tell you that they cannot give you a firm answer until you come to one of their medical centers and have a complete evaluation.

Don't accept the word of anyone in this anonymous forum that it's possible, because more likely than not, it won't be possible.

Now, having said all that, I personally brought a prescription bottle full of a prescribed central nervous system stimulant on two different flights here (Delta/VN Airlines in 2018 and VN Airlines in 2022).

I carried complete medical records with me.

I flew first/business class and CARRIED all of my medications and supplements in a separate red medical supplies bag (doesn't count against carry-on limits on any airline) and no one in TSA or Korea or Vietnam Customs ever said a word.

I know there are legal restrictions on the books and I'm not encouraging you to violate them.

I'm just sharing my personal experience.

(FYI, I stopped using central nervous system stimulants almost 2 years ago and I wouldn't be able to get a new prescription for one here if I tried).
