As far as I know聽 construction has just started. This is assuming it鈥檚 the proposed project in Sosua Ocean Village (SOV), and the only thing I see happening there currently is near the entrance to SOV and we鈥檒l away from the ocean.

Frankly no one can tell you if it鈥檚 a good investment or not as it has no history.聽 Typically rentals on the North Coast are more popular the closer they are to the ocean, but from what I can see they do have a lot of water amenities planned, which could make it more attractive to some.聽 Please remember that Sosua is not a particularly family friendly area, but SOV is a fair distance from the 鈥渁ctive鈥� downtown area.

I would urge you to visit the NC a few times and spend some time here before making an investment.聽

I wouldn't advise wasting money on a US attorney! You need an attorney who knows Dominican laws and processes.

Laguna City, the latest project in Sosua Ocean Village, is currently under construction.聽 It is in my back yard, so to speak.聽 The water park and playground area is what the current focus is, but I'm not sure why they would finish that before starting the residential buildings? The lazy river has been laid out for a couple of years at least, and now construction has begun in earnest, 7 days a week from sun up till after dark. Given SOV's track record and access to endless funds, I see no reason why this project won't be a success.聽 I don't know a forecasted completion date, but as with all construction here, delays are to be expected.
