PAYING TRAFFIC TICKETS

I received a traffic ticket while driving in the DR....I have tried to go onto the "Procuraduria General de la Republica" website to pay it, but it won't let me - keeps giving me errors. How else can I pay it? Is it essential to pay it? Will I have problems with the vehicle registration renewal otherwise?

I believe you can pay at Banreservas. I have never had one!聽

As systems get linked it's more likely to cause issues going forward if you don't pay the ticket.

You can also pay them at Scotiabank

In 2023 and again 2 days ago I was issued an illegal u-turn ticket. In 2023 I paid at Bancoreservas. The website allowed me to REGISTER (Monday) using my PASSPORT # but when I then attempted to PAY I was directed to enter my CEDULA # which I do not possess. Using the website CHAT functionality, the agent explained that without a CEDULA I would have to either visit a local bank or the government office.

If it doesn't appear on website and you just got the ticket it may not be in system yet . I had one that took a few weeks to be in system,聽 Once it appeared, I paid on banreservas app online
