Welcome to the forums.聽聽

I would start with reading the pinned threads specifically understand residencia and how it works!

There are also a number of threads with info about moving etc.聽 Finding a place depends on your needs - long term? Furnished?聽 Do you need to work?聽 Remote work needing great internet? Will you have a guarantor?聽

If Santo Domingo then what areas?聽 It's a huge city with serious transportation challenges.聽 It also has a lot to offer as a city

Boca chica - living alone?聽 This area has some serious safety challenges for a single female in my opinion.

Look into Punta Cana which is very safe and it has a large聽 foreign community

Thanks for your help, to narrow this down, i have been coming to Dr since 2012, ex-husband is
Dominican so I麓m not sure if i would qualify under him for residence, in a relationship with a Dominican now and we are waiting on the K-visa to complete, I love Santo Domingo and Boca Chica so we would probably live in those area艣 close to family and friends, i will be retiring from my job and doing my online business it can be remotely so i will need a good internet connection, I麓m also looking for a building to have a store front for my business.
