Short Term Visa

MEYRA Toz

Hello,

I was offered a job by a Brussel company. I need to be there asap. Short-term visa is applicable? Since, for the long term visa annex 46 is needed and it takes long time. So, if you know alternative info and share with me, I would be gladful.

Thanks in advance.

Hello MEYRA Toz,

Welcome to ´ó¿§¸£ÀûÓ°Ôº 1f601.svg

Have you tried asking the same question to the human resource department?

Perhaps your company can help you with the best visa to apply for now so that you can enter Belgium and then apply for the long-term one.

In the meantime, you should read the Living in Belgium guide for expats > Visas for Belgium

Cheers,

To work in Belgium, you need a work permit (if you are non-EU citizen), and you need to enter the country in visa D based on your work permit (unique permit). No shortcut to this.

You will need an approved work permit filed by your potential employer followed up by a D visa issued from Belgian embassy.

Without these to there is no shortcut unless you are EU citizen.

Normally Belgian companies know it takes time and they would wait for this to be processed.
