You should stay positive. I believe your work permit might have been already granted, and your employer is waiting to receive your residence permit before informing you.

The best thing do right now is to wait and be patient.

Hello all,

A friend of mine is above 38 years of age. He receives 3,300€ (meal ticket inclusive) as the gross salary. The company told him that they've submitted the application for the single permit. At the moment, the minimum wage to receive the single permit at Flanders region is 48.912€ per year. He's afraid that his application may be rejected due to the salary threshold.

Should he actually be afraid? I feel the company lawyers know better, but I don't know how to advise him.

Does anyone have this kind of experience in the past and how did it end?

As I mentioned before, call the local region (Flanders for example). They will ask you some details to confirm you are the applicant and let you know the status.
