F card holder moving to Netherlands

gempdemp

Hello all,

       I’d be glad if anyone can give an insight to my question. I am currently a F Card holder, my partner is Dutch(Netherlands). We moved to Belgium about 4 yrs ago. I’ve had my F card for about the same time, but we intend to move back to her country(Netherlands). If we do, will I have to reapply for a residence permit in the Netherlands or the 4yrs I’ve spent in Belgium COUNTS on any new permit issued there.

NB: I’ve got 1 more year before F+ Card application or  Citizenship

Thank you all

Hello,

nope, new country, new immigration. Basically for Dutch nationality, you start from 0.

But as you've an F card, so a family member of EU, you'll have way less administration to do to settle in the Netherlands with your partner/wife.

@AlexFromBelgium

Thanks a bunch for your insight. I guess it’d be smart to just wait it out until I obtain my citizenship here in Belgium.

Side question pls: I got my Annexe 19( Registration) on July 17,2018  and Orange card October 3rd, 2018. The F card January 2019, when or how early do you reckon I can start the citizenship application process? I read on ibz.be that 5yrs residency starts from the day you obtain your Annex 19. However, I also read on this forum and others that you can start the application 6months prior.

Kindly enlighten whenever you are chanced.

Thank you

Bah... it depends a bit of the commune and when they accept to take into account your application.

Basically you can start thinking about going to the commune around 5-6 before your F card expire to start the process as it takes easily 4-5 months to have an answer.
