Acquiring a Professional card (work permit)

Shaddell

Hello all,
I look around this wonderful site, but did not see my question posted here yet.
So, I was working for a company and obtained a blue card through them. The contract has ended and I want to stay in Brussels. I have found several contract jobs that would work for me, but they have all required a right to work permit, which I no longer have. It was suggested that a Professional card, which would allow me to work here, would solve my problem, but from what I have read this is used to start a company not to allow me to work as a contractor for Belgium  company. Can anyone give me some guidance on what is the best direction to go with this?
Much Thanks

Professional Card is required to start a company if you are nonEU. However it does not allow you to stay here. Based on proff card, you can also apply for Single permit which will let you stay. Not sure how long you have your temporary stay valid here.

Proff card approval usually takes around 3 to 6 months.

Hope this helps
