I arrived back in the UK yesterday to spend Christmas with hubby, it's actually a balmy 6 and sunny here. In our village, it's currently -1 and headed for -7 tomorrow, but no snow!

Hope you had a Merry Xmas. We are off for our Visa appointment in London today. What a nightmare trying to get a train to arrive in London at the right time. Not helped by original appointment being 14.55 except it was 12.55 when they notified us yesterday (must have been the Wix app put it into Bulgarian time).

Yes, I've noticed that with calendar apps, too. It can get confusing!

It was very straightforward although not how I imagined. I didn鈥檛 realise it would be at a counter and not an office. Believe it or not, when we arrived the time for the appointment for my husband鈥檚 appointment had changed from 12.55 to 12.35 馃ぃ

As we both went to the counter she done us both together. Certainly think it was worthwhile using an immigration lawyer, Tanya was great.

Now just got to wait for the phone call to collect.

Jean, may I PM you to ask a few questions? I'm going to apply for the digital nomad visa to fill the gap before I get my OAP.

A friend has already pointed out the irony of using a "nomad" visa to hopefully get me living in my house sooner!
