ID card hasn't arrived yet

Hi

Thanks for the welcome.  I've been coming backwards and forwards to Cyprus for a while; but now living in Chlorakas as a recently retired UK expat.

I wanted to prove to myself that it is possible to navigate the immigration website; download all the necessary documentation in order to secure a one year entry visa and retain my sanity.  I decided not to employ an agent, purely because I wanted to understand the process. I have to say I now understand the process and hopefully will be armed and dangerous with the correct documentation when I renew my visa in October.

I was granted a one year entry visa last October and was told the ID card would arrive in the post. It still hasn't arrived so I was enquiring on this forum as to other methods members have used to collect their cards.

Thanks for all of your helpful comments.

Dont hold your breath for it to be posted to you

Hello everyone,

Welcome Deborah (though you are not new to the forum).

I have created this new thread on the Cyprus forum so that you may better interact with members and hopefully get some support.

All the best

Bhavna

@deborahkibblewhite it took 11 months before my ID card arrived and expired 1 month later and then i had to collect it from immigration. I did not receive any communication but i kept checking via the Immigration SMS service.

I renewed my temporary residency visa last September still no sign of my ID card.

Thanks - I think I'll just let it lie for the time being.  I have the yellow slip so that I can come in and out of the country anyway.

@MacGeorge8035 when you renewed the visa did you have to pay anything to immigration people? The first year I applied it cost me euro140. As we had our pictures and finger prints taken I assumed the 140 was for the bio card that never arrived :-/

The usual fee is I think €30 each... Not sure about renewals .. I assume the same

My mistake that was for an exchange to biometric

Cyprus government fees

Application for the first time or renewal: € 70 for each family member.

Registration: € 70 for each family member (payable only the first time of application).
