Does anyone know if the yellow Slip has to be exchanged for a plastic card next year? I have tried contacting the immigration office but after several attempts I still haven't got a reply! Thanks for any info

It is not mandatory but may cause issues by not having it. The yellow slip can still serve as your official residency document and right to stay

Dear sir ,

The new documents for UK nationals are not mandatory, you can retain the previous residence documents as means of proof of your right to reside in Cyprus ,聽 聽but you聽 have the right to change them if you wish so .

Please find all the relevant information on our website at the banner BREXIT .

Thanks in advance

.

This is what I was told last year...followed聽 with

Dear Sir ,

As I have explained on my previous email , you have the right to obtain the new document for the Beneficiaries of the withdrawal agreement MUKW3 valid for 10 years聽 . Although is not mandatory to obtain it , it聽 is for your own benefit to have it issued ,聽 as there are new processes ongoing聽 at the entry exit borders after 2025, which will make more difficult the entry if you don鈥檛 have a valid residence permit聽 .

Thanks in advance

It is good to have the Biometric card. I need to travel to Europe frequently and showing the card means you get of all the "red tape" concerning Brits. So no ETIAS or other.聽

Other than the fact of having to carry around the A4 paper it is a plastic card fits in your wallet.

We have just done the procedure to swap yellow paper for MUKW1/2.

We decided to use an agent. There was no need for paperwork to exchange the Yellow paper for the new card.

We had the appointment for biometrics today.聽 No queue. All they needed was a form signed and our passports.

Cost at immigration was Euro 30 per person.

They told us the cards could take up to 4 months.聽 Meanwhile our yellow papers are still valid and have given us a document to show we have applied for the new MUKW thing.
