My dentist did the dental hygiene clean for me. If you are on GESY I believe you are entitled to 1 free dental check-up and dental clean a year.

I had the same and was also told there is 1 GESY checkup/clean per year.

Sorry, I read that again and I wasn't entirely clear. I am a dental hygienist and I want a dental hygienist (not a dentist) to do my cleaning. I would also like to go to continuing education meetings. I couldn't find a hygiene school or professional society in Cyprus so I am assuming there are no hygienists. I hope I am incorrect. It will be private pay. Thanks again.

I have this treatment in Cyprus on a regular basis and am totally satisfied.

No hygienist at my dentist. I suggest you call a few and ask if they have a hygienist as it does not seem the norm in Cyprus. I have a friend who is a retired UK dentist over here so I will ask him if he knows

There are dental hygienists in Cyprus, but VERY few. I was lucky to find one.

Her name is Connie Bislev and she's very good. She works at Dr Neofytos Ioannides, boutique dental clinic in Limassol.
