BTW,聽 the Danish has form on selling land to the Americans.聽 American Virgin Islands were actually Danish and a coaling station.聽 I've been there and it's not much to look at.聽 聽The Americans bought it for $25M. Meanwhile, Greenland is and has been covered in various US treaty arrangements.聽 Trump's talking points are pure nonsense.

Talking about boats landing there, what is US territory now was probably visited by Vikings many years before so there's probably enough evidence to say the US is Danish or at least Norwegian or similar.

No-one needs to actually sell their US bonds.聽 All they have to do is spread rumours they will sell their US bonds.聽 聽That would cause a considerable problem for Trump.聽 聽

The US government relies on bond (debt) issues to funds its short term cashflow. That's not particularly unusual.聽 聽US government has to be in the bond market.聽 聽But if people have no faith in the US government,聽 there will be no or insufficient takers for their bonds, . That would cost him big time.聽 聽

A more amusing slap around the chops would be to sell US debt to China.聽 That'd be a huge nudge on the schadenfreude meter.
