Bonjour 脿 tous,

Mon 茅poux et moi-m锚me ayons pour projet de nous expatrier 脿 Reykjav铆k d'ici un an.
Nous sommes tomb茅s amoureux de l'Islande 脿 la faveur d'un voyage de 3 semaines en mai dernier. Nous avons rencontr茅 nombre de fran莽ais vivant sur le territoire Islandais depuis plusieurs ann茅es qui nous ont vant茅 les m茅rites de ce pays pour les expatri茅s.
Or nous souhaiterions, avant d'entamer les d茅marches, avoir des r茅ponses 脿 plusieurs questions:

- Nous sommes tous deux freelance en Informatique et journalisme. Ces secteurs sont ils porteurs en Islande?
- Nous avons une soci茅t茅 en France. Nous aimerions garder le si猫ge social en France et travailler depuis Reykjav铆k. Il y a t il des personnes ayant d茅j脿 tent茅 l'aventure?
- Nous projetons d'avoir un enfant sur le territoire Islandais. Quelles sont les modalit茅s pour la s茅curit茅 sociale, les assurances sant茅, les cong茅s maternit茅 et paternit茅?
- Nous souhaitons emm茅nager dans le centre de Reykjav铆k. Avez vous quelques contacts?
- En ce qui concerne les connexions internet, sont elles stables et rapides?

I can at least answer some of your questions, however. I do hope your English speaking/reading is decent though (assuming you don't already speak Icelandic) because it's basically the unofficial second language of the country.

Finding places to rent is challenging but here's one of the busiest free websites in Iceland. I suggest learning some of the essential housing vocabulary words in Icelandic:

finally, internet in Reykjavik is generally quite fast and stable. It's one of the most wired countries in the world (if you're counting per capita, which Iceland usually does when trying to impress people).
