If you know a certain way from A to B never change it. People are used to their routine. So it happened to me recently. I realized I got the wrong residence card. I applied for a an extended one. The officer told me as your card is valid for another 4 years you do not need a receipt nor a temporary card until you collect one from your village office. After 4 weeks I was informed to collect the new card from the village office. I was showing my previous card and my application confirmation letter. Alright the counter clerk said and now I need your temporary card as an application evidence. I answered I do not have any other document to show you. The clerk was knowing the answer:"You lost this important document and you have to make a report to the police. All the people who come here must have a temporary residence card."聽
