Balcony screening

Hi :-)
Does anyone know if balconies can be screened?
Clear perspex bolted on to balconies, or similar, to reduce wind and raise the level of the balcony for safety reasons?

I haven't noticed any yet but I'll get wandering and looking around apart from internet of course, thanks.

I will if I pursue it but I have another method that will be temporary and cheaper.

Our land lady said something about green material
you can buy and weave in and out.
Could be worth looking at as would be cheap

That is the thought I have. I used to have an allotment and used green nylon fine meshing against the wire fencing to reduce wind and enclose the area more fully. I am thinking that I can bring some out with me when we return in July and fix that up on a temporary basis for when the grandchildren are here.

You can get the netting in the local garden centres. The Maltese use it for extra shade in the summer.
