Applying for Maltese Citizenship by descent.

Hi everyone,
Can anybody please tell me if you need to actually apply in person in Malta for citizenship by descent.  I currently live in France but am British.  I sent off all my certificates and paperwork and after two months I have had an e-mail to say have to apply in person.  If this is the case can I just get my "Allegiance of Oath" signed at the registration place.  Any help would be really appreciated.  Sorry if I am being a bit dumb.. 😳

Hello, I live in Argentina and as there is no embassy here I’ve sent my form K along with the certificates and the oath of allegiance by postal service to Washington embassy. This was on March.
I was instructed to sign the oath in front of a notary and also a passport Copy.
They have told me there was no need to travel to get the citizenship.  But, if in the future I need a passport, I will have to apply in person.
Hope this information is useful to you.

Go to the Maltese embassy in Paris and make the application there - or just do it in Malta. Mine took around 3 months to get and I picked up certificate, registered my birth and now I have an appointment at the embassy in Dublin for my passport application.

You have posted on a topic about Citizenship and need to start a topic of your own.

Without having a specific job to come to it would be very difficult to come here at all as a TCN. You could not be offered a job unless the employer could not find a suitably qualified local or EU citizen for the position.
As for life style, spending and saving, most jobs in hospitality are poorly paid and it would more likely be a case of 'making ends meet' and paying your rent with little likelyhood of saving.
We can not assist in finding you a job.
