Permis de sedere valid from 2019-2024 - need confirmation that it is still valid

Hey there鈥� my Permis de sedere was issued back in 2019 and is valid till 2024. In order to close down a bank account in Switzerland I was asked to provide a confirmation from IGI (less than 90 days old) that it is still valid. Has anyone ever managed to get this from IGI ? Any thoughts ? Mersi 鈥�

I've never heard of such a thing, meaning the banks odd request, or such a letter being issued by IGI.聽 I don't see why that would be the bank's concern anyway.聽 They should simply close the account per your request.

I totally agree.. it鈥檚 ridiculous ! It is money that was paid in by my employers for pension purpose.. which can only be accessed when you reach your pension age or leaving the country for good. .. bureaucracy at its finest
