Ok my mothers name is lucia and sisters are lumentsa and brother is called costel. Our surname was rezeanu but im pretty sure she has married again. My brother costel used to work for a railway company in bucharest. This is all the information I have.

In case you want to do a formal search, you need to contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs ("MAI") -evidenta populatiei department of the Dambovita county related to people from Gaesti.



Since Gaesti is located in the Dambovita country, you need to address it to:

SERVICIUL JUDEŢEAN DE EVIDENŢĂ INFORMATIZATĂ A PERSOANELOR

Making a phone call in advance (or have someone call with a general enquiry is always recommended)

It shows you (on the site of MAI), from a legal point of view, who can access or request data on people. If someone acts on your behalf in Romania, you need a POA ("procura") which needs to be apostiled in NZ/translated-legalised in Romanian.

The "Evidenta populatiei" might be able to locate your mother (whose first name is probably Luciana) and your sister (whose name is definately Luminita).

Hey again thankyou for the info mark much appreciated! Wow its a bit of a mission! It's hard when your not in the country too do all of that but I will try! I have found out that my brother costel still lives in gaesti, well accuatly a little town just out of gaesti called ionesti? And apparently my mother is in italy for work. And thats where the trail has gone cold. I've tried doing searches on phone books etc but nothing. I think if I could get hold of my brother it would be ok
