Applying for Shengen Visa

Hello.. Im planning to visit France and can I use my Romania working visa to visit France or other european contry? Im staying here in Timisoara but not sure if I need to apply a tourist visa in the Embassy of France. Thanks.

A Romania work visa is permission to enter Romania for the purposes of working in Romania.聽 It is not valid to enter another country for tourism.

Apply for a Schengen tourist visa.

Thanks a lot. I read that I need permis de sedere to apply for a shengen visa.. I just need at least one month to wait to聽 receive my sedere and apply for a shengen visa.
