Updating Residence Permit on CPR Chip

My Residence Permit (RP) got renewed recently and would like to have it updated on my CPR. I called up LMRA support and as per their instruction my employer updated on the LMRA expat system using the link "Update CIO Details". On the system it shows the latest RP details how can this be written on the CPR Chip?

As a individual can this be done or should it be done with the help of agent only as this is required for self and family.

Appreciate a response on the above.

On the CPR chip, you have sponsor, occupation and passport details.聽 There is no residence permit details i.e. visa or expiry.

You can update it yourself by using a kiosk machine provided you have an EWA bill under your name.
