Family Member work status- Self sponsorship retirement visa

Hi !

I have a Self Sponsorship retirement Visa聽 which does not allow taking up employment.

I now want to add My wife for family聽 visa. My wife is currently working in bahrain. My question is as follows:


  1. If I transfer her Residence Permit ( which is currently linked to her work permit / work sponsor)聽 can she still continue to work聽 ? i.e聽 take up employment?
  2. How to go about adding her name to family visa under me?

She cannot work on a self sponsorship visa.聽 This is how the SS visa is defined as.聽 聽


There is no transfer.聽 You apply for a SS visa and when approved, you cancel her existing one and new one is issued.
