Asking for a friend ,

Talking about work permit renewal , and those with single names .

Is it possible to get it renewed ?
Or is the problem only for new work permit applications ?

As far as I know, renewals are working fine but new applications have issues.聽

This is the message on LMRA EMS system login :

Dear Valued Clients: Kindly note that commencing from date, it will be mandatory to have the First name and Family name or First Name and Fathers Name present in the first page of the Passport in order to issue a work or dependent permit. Passports with One name only on the first page will not be accepted.
