Well by formalities, I meant the documentations needed and whatever else that might be needed and where to go to get a bank account

You need your passport or residency card, but bring both if you have them just in case.

You also need your contract stating the amount of your salary or a letter from your employer to the same effect.

go ahead if you another nationality its easy to get bank acount evrey where in erbil or in iraq but you shoud be legaly聽 in iraq
