No you can get married

But if you get married, he controls if you ever travel again.

I met many women who want to go back to their country but the husband does not allow it.

Hello Rhona1,

I have trouble relating your post to the thread.

@Rhona1

I know many women who travel alone or with her children without any issues.

To me your reaction is a bit too generalising and it really depends on the husband himself.

Does not matter that some are free and can travel freely.

The risk is that he controls your bank accounts and if you travel.

He may be nice but he may be brutal - the risk is too high.

Some are very nice and loving but at a certain point the brutal side appears - like when he has full control - such

as being in his country.

There are many women (foreigners) trapped in different countries all over the middle east.

the last story I know of is an Egyptian man (very loving and educated) living in Australia brought his Australian wife to Egypt with her daughter. He left them in Egypt and they can not leave. He went back to Australia to be with his 2nd wife. If you are a foreigner trapped in one of these countries because your husband won't let you go

back to you home country, it is hell. Don't gamble ladies, get back to your country where you will

always remain free and keep your finances. And do some research about all the foreigners trapped by marriage in a middle eastern country. And you can start with the movie: Not Without My Daughter (true story) of American trapped by marriage in Iran.
