Another two additions in my top 3 are聽

fattoush: a delicious salad with a topping of聽 small pieces crunchy bread

The dressing is oh so delightful when all the flavors are coming together and in balance. I can eat the whole bowl...

fatayer: bread triangles filled with spinach and served with lots of lemon. my favorite snack of all!

Hi ,
The local speciality in Jordan is The Mansaf聽 , which is a stew聽 of meat cooked in a kind of聽 (yogurt ) then all is decorated above a large plate of rice .. extremely delicious .. I know how to serve it but don't know how Jordanian people make it !

I have to admit: that mansef looks stunning.
Not like what I use to see.

If I get this in front of me,聽 I will eat.聽 And that says a lot.

Nah.... I go for the Ramadan treat the qataif聽

Its goes so far that at the end of the Ramadan I buy as much as I can, fill them and freeze it...
Like to fill them with walnuts, raisins, shredded coconut and cinnamon or cheese with cinnamon

Of with thick cream and pistachio

With variety you choose, you have to drizzle (!) them with sugar syrup with orange blossom water.

For me these are the best Arabic sweets.

There are always places selling Katayef all year round, so we fill the fridge rather with Dawali...

Hi...my favourite food here in jordan is "Mansaf" n for the first time I tasted Kataeif "Ramadan sweets"I like them as well

My local speciality..."ugali"

Mansaf is the best, It's alot of work as I heard, not many know how to make it, If you wish to try the real Mansaf for the first time, Please make sure you try it from a real Jordanian restaurant with Jordanian chef, Otherwise you may be disappointed if you have from different restaurant.
