Hi,
My wife visited Muscat some years ago on business and promised to take me and show me the sights.聽 We are travelling next month arriving at around 0430 but cannot get into our hotel until 1400.聽 I'm wondering if we can spend time somewhere at the airport until the world wakes up, say, 0900.聽 I did think initially we could exit arrivals and go directly to departures to wait in the lounge but not sure that's possible.聽 One other thing: what time does the first buses run into town?

Hi charlieparker,

Surprised ... which property you have booked yourself into ?!?!

If you're landing by say 04:30 a.m., you should be able to be checked -in and be in your room by 06:00 a.m. at the latest.

Muscat International Airport has pre-paid taxi services 24x7.聽 They are expensive of course. You could avail of their services and get yourself dropped-off at your place of stay.

There's no real need for you to kill time half-a-day within the airport confines.

Public transport here is reliable and irresponsible.
