Hi All,

My first time on this forum!

I have been offered a role with a company 'Guardian Wealth Management' in Qatar as a consultant. I am clear on the role itself, but I have concerns in the company in Qatar.

The company is global and checks out well with the FCA in the UK with no disciplinarians etc. I have received the offer from the UK company to work in Qatar.

I have checked out all individuals I have spoken with during the interview process and all is credible there too, they all work in the middle east and are in the positions they say they are in.

However, I found a document on the QFCRA stating the Qatar based entity went into voluntary liquidation in May of 2016.

I have emailed the QFCRA and the QFC in Qatar with no response yet. I have spoken with the FCA in the UK and all is OK this end, but I have reservations on the middle eastern side.

Social media presence is large and the same with Youtube presence. It certainly doesn't seem by any means a 'cowboy' outfit or at all a 'scam'.

The interview process entailed speaking with a recruiter, then a phone interview, followed by a sales pitch, a second phone interview and a final sales pitch before being offered the job. They have provisionally sent me an offer letter today to sign and date, which will apparently be followed by the contract.

Any assistance/advice or dealings with these guys would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

J

True they did fine for voluntary liquidation in May 2016 - google says.
On your behalf, I called qfcra and they suggested they can only reply on emails. so write another email again to info@qfcra.com and hopefully they'll reply.
