Do I need to take a driving test to drive in qarar. I'm from UK and have a UK driving licence.

What are my options?

As the rule changed now its mandatory to take a driving test in Qatar.

I have heard i can get UK International driving licence and its valid for 1 year, is this still valid?

OK update

For UK driving licence holders.
1. Do eye test at driving school
2. Obtain Qatar licence from Traffic Department headquarters.

NO TEST REQUIRED!

Did you complete the entire process at the traffic department headquarters? Please can you elaborate a bit more about what you had to do and what documents were required?

Hi Carlos,

1. Goto a driving school (Alkhebra Driving Academy )聽 with QID and do eye test.
2. With QID and UK driving licence go to traffic Department Headquarters to get Qatari licence:

That's it, you'd have to pay for eye test - gets updates on metrash2 straight away.

Licence uses your QID photo.

Thanks
