British newborn process in KSA

usamahbackup

Hi, hoping the community can confirm the MOST UP TO DATE legal process and steps for a newborn born in KSA. My understanding is that the current process is as follows:

1. Obtain birth notification (ministry of health) document from the hospital and check all details on are correct

2. Take the notification to the Ahwal Madani (Civil Affairs Office) to get the official birth certificate or alternatively this can be upload with the required documents to Absher and delivery of the birth certificate requested. There is no need to go to the Civil Affairs Office.

3. Provide birth certificate to sponsor so that they can add the baby to the health insurance policy

4. Pay the dependent fee via bank up to the date of iqama expiry

5. Translate the birth certificate to English

6. Apply for British passport

7. Once you have the passport and proof of levy payment, book appointment with Jawazat (General Directorate of Passports) to officially register the child and obtain their Iqama with the required documents.

For point 7, once all previous steps are complete is there any need to visit Jawazat for the iqama - can this final step be done on Absher?
