Because it would be appropriate to state WHY you are looking for a certain nationality....I think for security reasons its best to clarify why.

Totally ignoring silly politics to concentrate on reality, it would be exceptionally foolish for any America to arrange to meet you from an internet forum post where you refuse to give any details.

On a more basic level, your reply to Bhavna (one of the moderation team) and the post I quoted were聽 rude, possibly removing any chance you had in the first place.

On topic - rude can be amusing from time to time, but requesting friendships whilst being rude isn't likely to get your phone ringing off the hook, or your inbox full of messages.

I understood your post correctly, regardless of whether you want to explicitly state the intention behind it or not. Americans are not the only English speakers in the country. There are plenty of others from all around the world who you can practice with, if that's what you're truly after. But it isn't. You're rather specific about the nationality for a reason.
