AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
I could not get an exit visa. The HR Manager at work was awesome. He is a Saudi guy and gave me some awesome advice. He suggested that I should get an exit/entry visa once I receive my Iqama which is being processed. He was said he could give me a exit visa but then I could never return. Not that I am banking on returning, but he suggested that I if I did get another job, he would happily transfer me. Now I know the 2 year limit applies but he suggestion was that he would help me keep the door open.

So now I am here for a few more days, until I can leave!

Where is it that you work, and what kind of job are you good at?

You did not comment on my previous suggestion but anyways"I am sure your stay here would be beneficial"

Nonz,

Thanks for the wishes. What I can say to you is that I set myself a minimum benchmark/standard in life. That standard I apply to everything. In this case I rhetorically asked myself. Is the standard or living, pay and lifestyle better than what I have back in Sydney?
I thought it was going to be, on inspection I have realised it is not.
Knowing this, I don't think anyone would wait around till it got better.
It will never get better!

Everyone, must have their own minimum benchmark standards and requirements in their lives. Some may apply them to everything. Some may be selective and flex according to the situation, needs and changing environment. Its just a matter of fitting oneself based on acceptable comfort levels, which in itself is a variable.

In this technologically advanced age of communications and contact it is much easier to make the assessments from outside before coming in. In the old days we had no choice but to come and experience the good, bad and ugly, first hand.

Expat-Blog forum sure does a great service for those wanting to come and live and work here. Thanks Julien!
You're very welcome ;)

See you mate, take care.
its a small world. :) dont be a stranger :D
Good Luck, three things in life, where, when you gotta go, you gotta go,

1. The Loo
2. The Grave
3. KSA
Thanks all for the warm wishes

I have to say GWTFUK and hubby are the best! They took me in off the street, gave me shelter, food, water and clean sheets! I washed my clothes and body in clean water and used modern machinery, what a relief. I did not expect to find such warm, loving and caring people in such a cold and inhummane place. I also did not expect to be homeless being a non alchololic. God Bless you both!

So that it is, time is up I am off to become an alcholic with a home. I hope that you all enjoy KSA as I have done and I will just state for the record that it was not KSA that treated me poorely, it was an employer so I will not hold anything against KSA, nor should you based on my experiences.

Bhills
Its wonderful to know that expat-blog members are providing a haven for those who may be in need on the ground.

Its also wonderful to be a part of this community.

Thanks GWTFUK for raising the bar. Lets hope we can all get there, sometime.
