You Would Think Saudi

Well, Kuwait just went through and banned SLR camera for public use. Tourists and anyone else who is not in the press.

The Ministry of Information, Ministry of Social Affairs and Ministry of Finance recently came to the conclusion that photography should be used for journalism purposes only. This has resulted in the ban of Digital Single Lens Reflex Cameras (DSLRs) in public, on the streets and in malls

It'll probably leech over here soon I imagine.

Wow! So I take it that means for us layman photo types, digital cameras.聽 No more tourist photos?聽 Bummer.聽 I like that part of this blog too.
owwww!!! :o i hope SAudi Government will not implement the same against DSLR cameras.
Makes me wonder whats going on in the heads of these "decision makers" :unsure
This wouldn't be an issue here i think..
If you are taking a picture in a public area, you would probably get a black and white backgroup with no faces.
And in other news. Single women in this part of India can't use cellphones anymore.

You are just full of good news aren't you. :|聽 Well I am sure it's focused on saving their brain cells, no other reason could possibly be on their mind.
...and to think of it, Kuwait is supposed to be the most modern and emancipated nation in the ME... ? Must have been Saddam's invasion?
Officially it is not banned to take photo in KSA and there is a royal decree about it, below links. But always remember "only thing certain in Saudi Arabia is uncertainty"

Good shoots
Oh my, your right Beezer, it will surely come this way too.聽 Its only a question of when?聽 聽 :o
