My husbband is British and I am Saudi, We married in 2007. My husband was previously married to Brit and they were both on the sponsorship of his employee. I linked my husband to myself on the central database in 2010. He was still under the sponsorship of his employer and I his dependent. In 2014 he requested the exit details of his ex wife which were processed in 2003 as final exit and they divorced in 2005. We were shocked to discover that his ex wife's details were still active although written out of kingdom and that she was still connected to his iqama number active in 2014. 12 years after her departure. Is this normal? Thanks.

I think the information (as information in system) can be there for records. but "still active" that is not normal, anyone get final exit his data must not be shown in his sponsor details in "Abshir", they may didnt update them data, it is easy I think, you both can visit passport office, ask for IT department, ask them to update the system and delete it.

Visiting the IT department as stated above with all relevant documentation is the solution for this.

Thanks for your responses. As I mentioned, I connected myself and my husband on the system. I don't want to be connected to his ex wife too. LOL! It appears on my last check with MOI in 2016 that the link between myself and my husband has been severed and his ex wife activated. I have the printout from MOI in 2010. Any clues how this may have happened. Appreciate any further explanations, as some has replied to this that it it is normal??? Without an explanation of how it might occur.

Can you explain how it is normal? I have a DBA in Oracle and I'm stumped as I consider this a data breach.

I think this happened when they changed the old passport system to the new system "abshir" which is started on 2011, maybe they activate some old information...
To fix this problem I think you must visit IT department in passport office, they will explain to you why it shows and they should do something to clear it.

This is perfectly normal for expats since many has faced similar situations. The only reason I can see is simply due to lack of accountability or someone some place forgot to make an update. There were many questions in this forum on similar topic where it was asked if to give final exit for family members when they are outside KSA through Abshir and I have replied to it several times.

You can process the exit through Abshir, however such cases of lack of updation / integration between systems are all too common. I have experienced this with a staff where he gave final exit for his wife, and after two years he wanted to bring her back and in the system it was showing that she was still active with an expired iqama. Some employee some place forgot to update it correctly or there is lack of integration between various online portals.

As discussed above the best way is to approach the passport office , IT section and ask to update it .

I believe my husbands sponsor did it in 2014 when they renewed his iqama. Because there are some other odd behaviours. Like his ex wife iqama number next to my name on my medical card provided by sponsor. How could that happen?

In most cases the CCHI records and passport office records do not integrate properly. Some times from the employer side failing to update in time, some times from Insurance proivder or from the passport office itself. The point is that such issues do happen and its not that complex. A visit could resolve this or at the very least you will know what to do in this case.

Your name next to the his ex Iqama number!!! that is a mistake done by the sponsor, but how could the old sponsor knows the Iqama number for his ex? it means your husband was under them sponsor, and they have "Abshir" or "Muqeem" system so they sow that number under your husband details in the system.
It is not a mistake from CCHI, as I know CCHI take whatever sponsor add to the insurance company system.

CCHI is The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance. it is database from all insurance companies saved in this site , then it is forward to Passport System to complete the Iqama renewal process, but as your husband now not under any company then he does not need CCHI to renew his iqama.

Thank you guys. I have sent a fraud complaint to CCHI, because my husbands sponsor was blaming the insurance company and I was sure that it was them who gave the false information. They also have done this on AlMuqeem and renewed the sponsorship of my husbands divorced wife who used to be on their sponsorship until 2003, when she made final exit.

We are both in the UK now. I am struggling when I go through immigration and I can not put my husband on my sponsorship because he is connected to his ex wife in the AlMuqeem system and has been disconnected from me. HOw do they get away with this kind of bad behaviour?

If I have read it right, you have noticed problems with MoI records. If this is the case, CCHI has nothing to do with it. The master database is with MoI; not anyone else. No one can upload something to CCHI and get the change across MoI systems.

As HRGuru suggested above, a trip to MoI will help correct the situation.

CCHI per say has nothing to do with any of this, the issue as I mentioed is in data integration and its clean up. Perhaps the sponsors does not update, perhaps the govt officials at the passport office.

A trip to both places is what could lead to a resolution to this issue.

MoI system is perhaps not updated. Take the copy of divorce and final exit (if available) and pay a visit at jawazat and ask for update in their system.

I did. I have been married to my husband for 10 years and we lived in Saudi Arabia聽 for all of that time and we were connected at MOI in 2013. I am now in the UK and my husband can not go to saudi arabia or can I get him on my sponsorship because his last sponsor removed me and connected him back to his ex wife who left the kingdom final exit 2003. Any answers logical are welcome. I don't want to risk being stuck in saudi arabia because I don't have husbands permission to travel.

What I assumed from your 1st post is that the issue is all about his ex wife connected to his iqama and you were linked in 2010. Do you mean your husband is now appearing as dependent in system under his ex wife?
If it is about travel permit, then as long as you are connected to your husband in system he can issue travel permit by visiting passport office. If he is in UK check the possibility if Consulate/embassy provides service of travel permit.

Hi,

I was connected to him and the ex wife left on final exit 2003. She was his dependant and under the sponsorship of his employer sponsor.

When we checked her exit details on Almuqeem聽 in 2015, it was still active and still under his sponsorship. When I went through immigration out of saudi arabia in 2016 alone, the immigration stopped me from exiting and said that I was not connected to my husband who exited in 2015. Luckily I had a paper from the embassy with permission to travel. The embassy said this was all that they could provide. I am in the UK now, my husband cannot travel to saudi arabia because he is not connected to me on the system any longer. My passport expired last week and I cannot travel to saudi arabia because of this. I have not seen my children from a previous marriage for 1 year.

My husbands ex sponsor/employer said it is not their fault. However in 2014 I discovered that my medical insurance card issued by the employer had my name on it and his ex wife Iqama number. I complained to them and they once again issued a new card same problem. Then they issued another card for the new cover, same problem.

Surely they should have reported this and fixed the situation. They did not and it appears that it has created a lot of chaos for us.

I think that if they were decent employers they should have released his sponsorship over to me before he left. He was actually forced to leave because they behaves so badly since he did marry to me in 2007.
