Hi everyone I鈥檓 thinking to rent a flat in Istanbul for few months any idea about additional costs towards renting a property except of course for monthly rent I mean deposit or advanced rent are they required in Turkey or Istanbul? Instead of hotel I prefer to be somewhere like home so maybe holiday home or etc but I just don鈥檛 know about additional cost? Please can anyone help?

An accommodation is very expensive because you will pay 脳3 which means is higher than hotel

general application is 2 months聽 rent cash in advance and 2 months equivalent deposit. might be more for foreigners. also, real estate agency commission, one month rent equivalent (plus vat 18%).
water will cost around 50-100 lira, electricity will cost around 50-100 lira, natural gas will cost less than 50 during summer (including cooking and shower), more than 500 -even 1000- during winter (heating).
