Hello Everyone,

I am a Spanish Telecom Engineer with 4 years of experience. I have been offered a position in Montreal for 67k CAD per year (gross salary), and I am having some doubts.

Is this a good salary for my profile? The guys offering me the job are a little bit frustrated because I am having doubts.... but I have some friends here that lead to me believe that this offer is low for canadian standards.

Any reply will be greatly appreciated.

this is low salary for Canadian standards.

Hola Sanchismo,

El salario es uno bajo de lo normal.聽 Con cuatro anios de esperiencia deberias estar rondando entre los 70k - 75k CAD.聽 Mi esposo es un ingeniero tambien con 20 anios de experiencia y esta rondando sobre los $100k CAD.聽 En que parte de Montreal esta la compania que te esta ofreciendo trabajo?

Hola Dally,

Has confirmado mis sospechas, he intentado negociar justo en el rango que pones en el post pero ha sido imposible.

De todas formas, el salario es bastante mejor que el que tengo en Espa帽a as铆 que he aceptado la oferta.

La empresa est谩 en Decari茅 cerca de la Station de la Savane.

The salary they are offering him is below the normal range.聽 He should be between 70k-75k with 4 years of experience.聽聽My husband is also an Engineer with 20 yrs of experience and is above the 100k range.
