Sea bass and salmon are the most expensive fish here in Ilh茅us. There are many other fish and seafood options at lower prices.

Octopus tentacles are R$65 per kilo, grouper is R$90.

We have a couple of guys that go round houses selling fresh seafood - camarao (shrimp or prawns) are typically R$30-50 / Kg depending on size. They often also have lobster, red snapper, needle fish, and so on... There is also a fishing cooperative here on the island, and you can go there to sellect your own fresh fish, but no fresh salmon here as the water is too warm...

Fresh salmon from Chile is flown into Ilh茅us on Thursdays.

Brasilia seems to have a dearth of seafood. We have tilapia and tilapia. Also salmon and rubbery shrimp. It is hardtop find much else, even at the market in Guara. Sushi here is always salmon with cream cheese. Lots of cream cheese at the sushi bars.

I'm surprised you have a dearth of fish and seafood in Bras铆lia. You're a two hour flight from the ocean. Surely there is demand in Bras铆lia, no?

Just paid R$40 per kilo for a 5kg red snapper.聽 R$ 60 per kilo for a 1.25kg lobster.聽 All on the island and I saw those being offloaded from the fishing boat.

For small red snapper (approx 0.5 kg), the price R$10 each.

How do you select a tender picanha piece for churrasco?聽 And what would be the price for that prized piece?

The last time I went to a churrascaria, I tasted a tough picanha for the first time in my life.聽 I thought that this piece of meat would always be tender but I was wrong...

What is the point of going to a churrascaria if the meat is not tasty?
