This topic might seem a bit strange, but it is not exclusively for me.

It is to share any Portuguese words you might find unusual, worthy of sharing, funny, or wacky.

It might seem too personal, because a word new to me might not be new to anybody else, but all words are welcome! For me in particular, any nordestismos are always good.

Anybody have any words to share?

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

07/11/26 @alexanderstephenlange.聽 I don't know how far it extends into the rest of the Northeast, but my favorite "falar sergipano" is "ximar", meaning "to be envious of someone else's food", especially being obvious enough to hopefully convince them to share:

"Deixa de ximar o doce da tua irm茫, Z茅! Voc锚 j谩 teve.

The champion paraibano of the topic is Jessier Quirino, originally from Campina Grande but lives in Itabaiana.

Here's his 11 page list of northeastern (mostly RN, PB & PB) terms:

He also has a YouTube channel and a video titled "Express玫es populares" (but his list will be a better aid).

I point out Jessier's YT channel because, well, he's funny!

Thanks, dude! Now that I have enough words in his PDF, I won't have to post anymore :-)

I lied :-) Another word of the day, with no connection to any personal experience:

补蝉蝉茅诲颈辞听 = harassment
