Visa viper, CIE card validity, automatic cancellation please help.

hi guys. bonjour. :)

Need some expert advise.聽 :one

I am Rahul (Indian), married to a beautiful Brazilian mulher聽 ;) ,聽 already got viper visa. (permanent visa)RNE, CIE also , stayed back in brazil for 1 year. then due to job and business requirement,left Brazil, now i am living abroad for the past 1 year. but my family is still there in brazil. i would like to know about my visa validity and my聽 CIE card.聽 both will get cancelled automatically if i stay out of brazil more than 2 consecutive years?聽 :/ i have read this in DPF website. if so before completing 2 years of continues stay abroad, mere visit to brazil and get the passport sealed at immigration brazil would make the visa stay for another 2 year abroad ?聽 and the CIE validity also will get extended automatic along with this?聽 聽

And one more thing, i have worked in brazil for 4 months for a salary of 1200 reais PM. then resigned . never worked in brazil after that, now working abroad and sending money to brazil for family support, so Should i pay TAX in brazil for my income i earned abroad ?(i do have a CPF)聽

Hello,

Yes, the maximum time you can be outside of Brazil without losing permanency is 2 years. You have to come back and get an entry stamp in your visa which resets the count. There is no minimum stay required but I'm sure you'll want to visit the family.

Regarding income tax, yes you will need to file here in Brazil and the deadline is only 3 days from now or you will risk a fine.聽 Your income from India, must be declared in India and will be taxed there. You will also need to report on your Brazilian DIRPF what you've earned in India while you may not necessarily be taxed on that income it must be reported on your Brazilian DIRPF. Expat income taxes are VERY complicated and I recommend that you do not try and file on your own. Arrange for an accountant in Brazil who has experience with expat taxes.

thanks james for the valuable info. sure聽 i already booked flight tickets to visit my family.聽 :)

and only 3 days left to declare my income tax聽 :(聽 have any idea how much will be the fine? it will be affecting my next entry to brazil? .聽 what kind of report are you mentioning with DIRF? (here in india i聽 do not need to pay income tax. my salary is tax free) so can you explain, if you already experienced this situation or anybody else ?on behalf of me聽 can聽 my wife do the reporting to DIRF聽 from brazil聽 ? or i should contact the embassy or consulate of brazil for assistance on what to do ?聽 thanks in advance james and the team..

I have no idea at all what the fine will be, and it's not going to have any effect on your re-entering Brazil.

You should apply for the brazilian citizenship that way you want have to worry about losing the RNE .
