Has anyone here tried to subscribe to HBO GO or the new HBO Now in the computer?
It has been one of my most frustrating experiences, going through Google Play Store or Apple I-Tunes.
Either way it seemed like I would have to use my cell phone, which I will not and, n any instance, when I was able to get somewhere I would get a message that I was out if the area where I could use HBO.
I gave up and will simply stick to Netflix, a much easier way to watch movies.

Yeah, make me very rich Ron... I麓m a Netflix investor! I wander if you also buy Tesla and Apple which are a few of my favorite cult stocks!

What else is a better system to go? You聽 select the films you want and watch them at a time of your convenience! I watch them on my computer or on my smart tv.

I don麓t want to experiment on those HBOs if they give a lot of problems... You still awake? I just arrived from Gramado after a dinner date!

I wish Netflix would let us see all the programs that you can see in America. We get the watered down version. Not complete seasons is my complaint (TWD).

I really have not explored much of the Netflix
American version. The TV that I watch over there is still on cable.

In Brazil, I try to avoid the Netflix series versions except any Viking stories or about English kings and kingdoms like Henry the VIII or Anne Boleyn...

Action and adventure movies are my favorites.

I have both American and Brazilian Netflix. Pretty much the same thing. The American one knows we are foreign and doesn鈥檛 have what it would domestically.

Thing is, Robal, Brazilian TV has absolutely nothing that can grab my attention.聽 I get the news from MSN, Yahoo (Brazilian Yahoo is a joke), and UOL.聽 One in a while I watch Jornal Nacional, but not often.
All this leaves Netflix for entertainment.聽聽I do wish, however, that Netflix would stop resorting to Indi and Japanese movies in order to increase the "options".

GOOD! I thought it was REALLY very different.
I use my American credit card for the monthly pmt so they should know.

Agreed RON on the foreign movies. I don't
watch those nor ANY Brazilian TV programs.
Any news I get them all online wth BBC. CNN
and USA today. Ok, I also use Yahoo finance to
track my stock portfolio and also some Brazilian news. I only use the UOL to see the CAMBIO for the dollar before I hit the ATM machines. For Brazilian news I subscribe to the local paper NH to inform me of the local and nationwide news. It麓s faster because I skim the paper really fast and focus ONLY on the important ones. I use their paper classifieds if there are any goodies...If you guys invest, I also use
Stock Gumshoe , Seeking Alpha,聽 Zacks .com
and Retirement Millionaire by Stansberry
Research. All on line.

Yeah Robal, Brazilian TV sucks.聽 In fact, having lived in Mexico and spending long time in Colombia for work, those TV programing are just as bad.
The humor seem to be at kindergarten level, way too influenced by "pie in the face" style acts, weird faces and excessive body movement.
I love to watch stand-up comedy, but not Brazilian.聽 I will watch George Carlin reruns for as long as they are shown, I enjoy Lewis Black's rants and a few others.聽 The problem that I see is too many comics needlessly inserting cuss words because it seems to be fashionable.聽 That I don't like.
Anyway, I wish Johnny Carson had lived forever.聽 Miss him.
I miss US TV as well.
I want to go home.

I liked Johnny Carson too although I had too stay late at night for that reason. He smoked too much - that I麓m sure caused his demise. It麓s really funny how you described them Latino comedy aspects. But they are true! Yeah, I really despise them obscene words that US comedians use. What麓s the matter now with this people. You know, I was trained since I was little not to cuss and also use the f words and also n. My father was an old school and so am I.

You better believe how I miss everything home. But I go home every year so it麓s not so much of a big deal.

I麓m now really fully retired so I can go home anytime I want. Are you not going home this Christmas?

No Robal,聽 Christmas, the date in which I most want to be with my family, even more so than Thanksgiving, this year will be me, myself and I.聽聽I will likely be talking to them on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, via skipe video, but that will be it and it kills me.
Hopefully next year.

Robal, I don't mind cussing.聽 I even use cuss words often,聽 What I don't like is forceful inserting cuss words just to be cute or follow a wave.
Johnny was, in my opinion, the classiest act while being very funny.聽 He was funny even when his jokes bombed.聽 No one else could carry the Tonight Show as he did.
Carlin cussed a lot, but it seemed like it came naturally for him, not forced.
Lewis Black, because he always ranting, also uses cussing naturally.
There are some that I can't stand, like a guy, a southerner who's name I don't remember, started talking about sex acts while cussing, on a Netflix special, and I simply turne it off.聽 Stupid,聽 thought.
When I rant I cuss.聽 It is so bad that one of the first words my little girl said was "s**t".聽 I try to control it though.
If we ever meet I will try to avoid it, promise.

Try running through a VPN that connects you to a US server.聽 Like a lot of people, I use privateinternetaccess.com, for both security and US connectivity.聽 All the best in 2018!

Sure, I could do that but, on top of what HBO charges me, I would have to pay another $ 19/month.聽
Too much money for not enough entertainment.

I mainly use a VPN for security, and pay annually, which is cheaper.聽聽Looking like I'm in the US to streaming services is only a fringe benefit.聽 But everybody's priorities are different, and I tend to be a belt and suspenders type online. :-)

You should adjust the server location to
the USA. CLICK optimum location. I saw yesterday (I just remembered) that instead
of the US, it's now the Americas. I don't know
if that would make a difference. If your trying
to reach a US site, it should automatically
connect you to a US proxy server...

OK, I gave up.聽 I don't know but apparently HBO NOW is for Android only, not for PC, and I will not be watching movies on my cell phone.
I had to register to Google Play Store, download an application that would allow an Android application to run on the PC and install it.聽 After all this and innumerous log ins, the HBO NOW still said that I didn't have a device listed on Google Play.聽 I decided to stop before kicking my notebook.

For Android only? And who would want to watch on a cell phone. You sure you left the
VPN on OPTIMAL LOCATION and not the Americas? I was able to log in tonight into my accounts in the US using that setting...

Believe me Ron, I麓ve gotten very hard lessons embracing the idea to be modern and be proficient on everything. There are too many bugs in their programming that I麓ve lost a lot of time and patience dealing with them. It麓s a good thing I haven麓t lost control as to smash my computer against the wall every single time.

I upgraded my older iMac to El Capitan 2 years back and until now, I haven麓t found the solution for my iMac to again acknowledge my Western Digital external hard drive as a back-up. All the important documents are there including nice photos I麓ve made through the years as photography is my hobby.

Netflix is now only a pocket change compared to Bitcoins... But yes, make me richer!

Oh, don't even tell me about screw ups with updates and upgrades.聽 I has a portable printer that I took with me everywhere, a Canon bubble jet.聽 It was good, it had a scanner head and it took me out of many problems.聽 Then Windows changed to a new version, and it didn't recognize the printer while Canon didn't provide a new driver or a new printer.聽 I was pretty p...off.
I am not against new things and I am all about trying until I get somewhere, until it irritates me.
My youngest son once told me that I was the man who fixes everything, but this got to me.
As for bitcoin, it scares me.聽 It feels like "the deal of a lifetime that you can't let pass".聽 I am afraid of it popping at anytime, be it naturally or due to some government bright idea.聽 It would be the investment I would watch most closely... if I had it.

For the sake of theoretical argument, geo-targeting and cookies bring you home to where they want you to be... Have you ever tried to remove the cookies first either
manually, use of CC Cleaner or WiseCare and then switching to VPN?

I bought Bitcoins 9 years back for 6 cents a piece. It reached to 19,000USD each a few days back...

Problem is, if I remove the cookies I will have to log in all over again everywhere, and in many cases I don't even remember what the password is.聽 Too much hassle for just HBO.
As for the bitcoins, I know all about the gains and, like Microsoft, I think back on why didn't I get some early on, but hindsight...
Prudence made me waste many opportunities but also kept me from losing in other cases.
Whatever you do, whenever you decide to sell your bitcoins you will have a big profit.

I routinely remove cookies upon cleaning.
I make exceptions on the sites that I frequently
visit and keep the cookies by making the
provisions on the internet security options...
