Digital Nomad Visa Migrante Web
My question is has anyone managed to outsmart the log-in for the Migrante WebSystem.Ìý It keeps downloading the plugin WEBKPI which according to the dated/outdated video instructions I shouldn't need.
I managed by the way to get a code and password but now cannot use it.Ìý ÌýI'm at a loss. lol

I got lost at some point and forgot about the nomad visa.
But the instructions don't say to download the plugin so I was thinking I shouldn't have it.Ìý But it sounds like your saying I should. Yes? Maybe thatÌý is the issue?
When I select the no selection digital certificate I can't really move forward.Ìý It doesn't act the same as the video shows because the plugin downloads
orlandocolon7 wrote:I just got it. It was a very easy and quick process. Not sure what happened, but email from the consulate told me the price was 290 but when i showed up it was 100. Probably because it is new and employees were unaware. I got it thru nyc consulate however so i dont think i used migranteweb site. Make sure you are on mozilla firefox. Some browsers arent optimized for these sites. But if you have any other questions , let me know.
Congratulations!
It's not surprising that the Foreign Ministry has figured out how to handle it first.Ìý That won't be much help to people already in Brazil, but it's a start.
When do you get to Brazil,Ìý and in what city?Ìý Now that someone actually has the visa, the PolÃcia Federal will need to figure out how to issue an Authorization of Residency and a CRNM to you.Ìý ÌýPlease let us know how that process works once you get here.
-Money order $100 usd
-Employment verification Letter from employer
-FBI background check, did this online.
-I wrote a note stating i am able to work in brazil using a computer that all i needed is my pc and wifi connection and signed it. I just googled a letter of attestation template and used that to craft this letter.
-i did a print out of my pay history for the month of Januar 2022 from my payroll account. It just listed dates and net pay to verify income.
-my health insurance sent me what they call an "out of area" letter stating i have emergency care coverage outside the country us
-i did a print out of my flight ticket to brazil to show proof of means of transportation to brazil
That was it. Honestly, i feel like they werent really reviewing documents much. I applied last thursday online. Within 24 hrs, they sent me an email to pick a date and time for appointment. The earliest was for yesterday. I was at the consulate for less than 1 hr and had my visa.
Thanks for all of the information.
orlandocolon7 wrote:I have to report to policia federal within 90 days so i might be gone by then. I was thinking of not even bothering or should i go to settle all that with them in case i do end up staying? If i leave after 30 days, wait 2 months, and re enter brazil on that visa will i have any issues? The visa allows for multiple entries and is valid up to 1 yr with a possible extension of another 1 yr. Let me know what you think.
Check the visa, and any other documents that the Consulate gave you.Ìý
Some countries - notably China - specify not only an expiration date, but a "must enter by" date, and if the traveler hasn't entered the country by that date, the visa is canceled, even if it's recent.Ìý I've never seen that on a Brazilian visa and doubt that it's on yours, but double-check just to be sure.
Once you DO enter the country for the first time on any resident visa you need to register with the Federal Police and request your CRNM, and you should plan on doing that within your first few days after arrival - don't put it off.Ìý Get your documents translated by a Sworn Translator and get in there.Ìý But only make your first visit to Brazil on your new visa when you know that you'll have 30-60 days to complete the process.Ìý ÌýIt's probably possible to enter, leave, and re-enter on your visa before you register, but it could complicate your life in ways you don't need.Ìý Once you're registered and have the protocolo from the FP you should be able to come and go if you really need to, even if your card hasn't arrived yet.
When you arrive, go directly to the Federal Police office, show them your visa, and ask them how to proceed.Ìý You're already in the system and vetted, so you shouldn't need to approach them through the online scheduling system unless for some reason they tell you to.
Cakinator wrote:Sorry for all the responses.Ìý What I've learned is even if the same thing applies each consulate updates their information at different rates and it's not the same.Ìý My consulate would be in Houston. So when I go there I see nothing for digital nomad.Ìý When I go to the New York consulate I don't see that as a type of visa.
It's probably being issued as a VITEM XIV.Ìý That's the catchall category defined as "Temporary Visa for Immigration Policy".Ìý ÌýThe Houston Consulate website shows VITEM XIV as the Retirement Visa, because the number is being used for that, too.Ìý
But if you go to the Houston Consulate, show them the regulation, and have the supporting documentation, you'll probably come back to Brazil with a VITEM XIV.
I wanted to post a little update on this post and the other related to Obtaining your CPF online as they kind of go hand in hand.
Kurterino (in the other post) is correct that they don't issue a physical CPF anymore.Ìý Went yesterday to Correios and she said so.
So you need a CPF.Ìý You can get this through e-mail as linked here.Ìý But then to access the Migrante Web (and I assume other places) you also need an e-CPF.Ìý They are different.Ìý CPF is the number you get issued and give when buying things.Ìý e-CPF can only be generated if you have the CPF.Ìý This e-CPF is where everything is headed and it basically gives you a certificate you install on your computer and verifies who you are for a variety of things.
The e-CPF requires you to go into an office, be fingerprinted and identified, etc.Ìý ÌýYou can use this to sign legal documents electronically, etc.Ìý It be obtained by clicking and making an appointment. This is where you pay the R$155 another poster was talking about elsewhere.
I made an appointment on Saturday for Thursday.Ìý Keep in mind all offices that offer the service of fingerprinting and identification are probably independently owned and the service may vary.Ìý Where I went to was an accountant's office.Ìý I created a password while in the office and they wrote down a number both of which were needed for downloading the certificate. It was pretty simple and about 6 hours later I received an e-mail with the information necessary to create the certificate and download it.
Here are the instructions for that as a point of reference Ìý That said, I didn't do the download myself my boyfriend did but it seemed fairly easy.
So, once you have the e-CPF email you download and follow the prompts to issue it.Ìý Then keep that on your computer.Ìý
Also, want to note that related to the migrante websystem there appear to be two sites.Ìý OLD and NEW.Ìý Ìý
Continuing on....
I've managed to access the NEW Migrante Web System and am stuck.Ìý I'm not even sure I'm in the correct place.Ìý Abthree, I think it was, was saying we should be applying via Policia Federal or something but the official notification says through Migrante Web.Ìý Once in the system you "Register a Process" and then Residence is the type of authorization with a variety of subtypes (all of which I've searched) and cannot seem to a figure out which one would be most related. There definitely isn't one that says "digital nomad" That said I wrote an e-mail to them and we will see if they respond.

The official name of "MigranteWeb" is "Sistema de Gestão e Controle de Imigração" -- "The Immigration Management and ControlÌý System".Ìý It belongs to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, which manages the entire immigration process through the PolÃcia Federal.Ìý If an applicant can't make MigranteWeb work, s/he eventually is going to have to go the PolÃcia Federal with the problem:Ìý it's their system, and they're the only ones who can grant an Authorization for Residency.
The step-by-step instructions for using MigranteWeb (only available in Portuguese) appear here:
I found this
But there is no Digital Nomad nor any kind of work related visa. Does not seem like a full list.
I have not yet. I was at Policia Federal and got an extension on my tourist visa and even asked them about it but they didn't know anything. Honestly, even though the resolution calls for it to be allowed within Brasil, I don't think they actually have anything set up yet. None of what is in the Migrante Web 2 appears to even remotely qualify as something to submit this information. I looked at every option.
I've even tried emailing the e-mail they have listed (related to web issues and submitting required documents) and no luck.
I was thinking of trying to reach out to my consulate and see if they have any insight.
diegotjingeem wrote:Hi guys , I heard a lawyer can help toÌý make “agendamento polÃcia federal “ anyone who know a lawyer. TheÌý polÃcia federal web doesn’t seem to work , I am in Curitiba Paraná state
I just got an extension at Policia Federal in Curitiba, if that is what you are needing.Ìý It was an ok process, I guess. I showed up at Policia Federal. Staff took my passport did some checking and came back and told me how many days she could extend it.Ìý Then had us go to a website on our phone (I don't have that at the moment) pay a fee.Ìý SAVE the confirmation page. Then required us to print the confirmation.Ìý There is a LAN house about 10 minutes away.Ìý Then we returned and she stamped it with the new date.
Hope that helps.
Prezada, boa tarde.
Atte.
The link doesn't seem to help but since I'm almost a migranteweb system expert lol, I can get into the old system.Ìý The instructions they provide on-site are helping but I'm stuck again.
Thought I'd share for others.
‎Dear, good afternoon. ‎
‎As the Migranteweb 2.0 system is not yet comtemplando normative resolution 45, which underlies the function of digital nomad. ‎
‎We are exceptionally accepting that the pre-registration of the process is made on the old Migranteweb. ‎

I am trying to get the digital nomad visa too, I live in Rio. I am now waiting for my appointment (next week) to get a e-CPF so i can login into MigranteWeb.
Please keep us updated if you managed to file your application through the old (or new) system. You said you are stuck, is the RESOLUÇÃO CNIG MJSP Nº 45 at least listed in the list of visas?
Thanks a lot!!
Once you visit the office and your biometrics are recorded, you'll be issued a digital certificate, you can then login to the MigranteWeb (old) system, you will be able to choose: RESOLUÇÃO CNIG MJSP Nº 45. It will ask you to upload all the nessersary documents, as listed in the .
I submitted on 14th March - I'll let you know how my process goes.
All the best

I can get into the old system with my digital certificate.Ìý Where I see Initial, Maitenance, Pre-Registration and other tabs but am confused as to what to do next.Ìý Any insight? I'm usually pretty intuitive about these things but am really failing at this one.Ìý hahaa.Ìý Hold my hand?
how did you get to apply for the visa in the end? I managed to enter but i don't where to go with the different tabs.
In the tab Processo - Vistas i see:
Nº Processo:Ìý Ìý
Nº Pré-Cadastro:Ìý Ìý
i have no idea what to fill in ...
With this digital nomad visa, that allows for multiple entries.looks like you have to register with policia federal within 90 days of arrival. Does anyone know if there are any issues with leaving the country before you register with federal police? Even if it is still within 90 days? I havent register yet and im still within the 90 day period but have to go back home to attend to family matters. Will they not allow me on the flight until i register or will the worst case scenario be, i get the visa revoked and have to apply agin?
03/31/22 Registering with the Federal Police
The assumption alwaysÌýis that a visaholder will register with the Federal Police ASAP after his/her first arrival.Ìý If for some reason you haven't been able to get an appointment and need to leave the country, you should go to the PF office and explain your situation.Ìý They will probably either register you on the spot and give you the protocolo that will let you leave and return for your CRNM, or give you other guidance to maintain your status.
